What to do in Munich?

 Savor a delicious beer

Germany’s biggest party revolves around beer. The Munich Oktoberfest is held in late September and early October, lasts between 16 and 18 days, and is one of the largest festivals in the world. We recommend visiting a Biergarten. These places were created in the nineteenth century and since then, being there is the favorite plan of Munich residents on Sunday.

Feeling royalty in palaces and castles

Neuschwanstein Castle is an impressive place, almost 1.4 million people visit it every year. Another place you can visit is the Palace of Nymphenburg (Palace of the Nymphs), where the baroque style is the protagonist. You will be surprised by works of art and carriages made entirely of gold, marble and bronze. You can also walk through an 800,000 m2 garden containing Greek sculptures.

Taking a selfie at the stadium

You can’t leave Munich without having your picture taken at the Allianz Arena, Bayern’s stadium, which is known as Schlauchboot (inflatable boat). Do not miss the opportunity to be in one of the most emblematic places of soccer, where the most important stars of this sport have shone even in world cups.

Go to the zoo or relax in wonderful parks

One of the most important zoos in Europe is the Hellabrunn Zoo. Approximately 18,992 animals of 759 different species live here. You can also visit one of the largest urban parks in the world. The Englischer Garten is 4.17 km2 and larger than Central Park or Hyde Park. Among its attractions are the Japanese Tea House, the Chinese Tower and the Temple of the Lovers.
